Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book raises theological questions about the salvific meaning of suffering in the light of Mt.25:31-46. Taking the oppressed women of Maher (NGO, Pune, India) as its starting point the book highlights the significance of Christ from socio-economic-religious perspective. This is done by presenting the Christological contributions of two leading theologians of India, namely Samuel Rayan and Raimon Panikkar with the aim of presenting Christ relevantly in the multi-religious context. Since suffering is unavoidable, the author proposes that teachings like Kenosis (self-emptying) and Nishkama Karma (selfless action) can help believers of diverse belief-traditions to cope with suffering.
